AICON - an initiative of the societal impact of AI initiative ('AiPact'), 大象传媒 - is a collective of scientists, students, artists, organizations, and residents of the city of Rotterdam. Together, we explore in an accessible way the social implications of AI: how can the use of AI create new possibilities while minimizing potential risks?
AI is fueled by human values, perceptions, and preferences. How do we, as a society, deal with that? What meaning does AI have for the city and its residents? What is the impact of AI on both private and professional life? How do we want to shape the present and the future? By collaborating, we can build a deeper understanding of the role of AI in our world.
